Production Line Overview
Long-cut pasta production lines are designed for spaghetti and other long pasta varieties.
Serna Makina integrates the entire process, from dough preparation and shaping through pre-drying, drying and cooling to storage or packaging.
Each line is engineered for its capacity, product range and plant conditions, with coordinated stages to protect product quality and production continuity.
Drawing on engineering and manufacturing experience, we develop reliable, efficient and durable long-cut pasta lines.
The entire process chain, from raw material feeding through extrusion, forming, drying, cooling and conveying to storage, is integrated with the automation system.
System Features
Production Process
Long-cut pasta production consists of integrated stages, from controlled raw-material feeding to shaping, spreading and drying, followed by cooling, resting and cutting. The entire process is managed to maintain controlled product flow and repeatable production conditions.
Raw materials are fed regularly and under controlled conditions. In the press (extruder), dough is kneaded uniformly, compressed and shaped to the required diameter and form through spaghetti dies. The spreader then places fresh spaghetti evenly onto drying sticks.
The spread product is prepared for main drying in the pre-dryer under controlled temperature, humidity and airflow. The main dryer then brings it evenly and under controlled conditions to the target moisture level.
After drying, spaghetti is cooled under controlled conditions and transferred to the resting and storage system. Product flow between production and packaging is regulated. Finally, the rear cutting unit cuts dried spaghetti to the required standard lengths, ready for packaging.
Production Line Components
Every stage, from raw-material feeding to cutting and storage before packaging, is connected through controlled product flow, process continuity and integrated automation.
Raw-Material Feeding Unit
The raw-material feeding unit ensures regular, controlled and reliable transfer of ingredients into the production line at the first stage of pasta manufacturing.
Press (Extruder) Unit
The press (extruder) is a core line component that kneads dough uniformly, compresses it and shapes it through dies.
Spaghetti Dies
Rectangular spaghetti dies are essential production components that shape spaghetti and similar long-cut pasta to the required diameter and form.
Spreader Serici Ünitesi
Serna Makina spreader units are designed for even product distribution, correct positioning and stable production, taking different capacities and product characteristics into account.
The spreader places fresh spaghetti emerging from the dies evenly and under controlled conditions onto drying sticks.
Pre-Dryer Unit
Main Drying Unit
The main dryer is a key process unit that dries spaghetti to the target moisture level under controlled conditions.
Specially designed aluminum drying sticks support controlled product conveyance and even heat distribution.
Temperature, humidity and airflow are regulated by a dedicated climate-control system. Its components are selected and manufactured for continuous production conditions.
Cooling Unit
Serna Makina cooling units are designed for balanced cooling, product integrity and stable flow, taking production capacity and process needs into account.
The cooling unit provides controlled cooling and resting of spaghetti after the main drying stage.
Resting and Storage Silos
The resting and storage silo holds pasta under controlled conditions after drying and cooling, before packaging.
It allows the product to rest for a defined period in balanced conditions and regulates flow between production and packaging, supplying the packaging line with the required quantity.
Rear Cutting Unit
Serna Makina rear cutting units are designed for consistent cutting, product integrity and steady flow to packaging.
They cut dried spaghetti after drying and resting to the required standard lengths.
Adjustable settings accommodate different product dimensions and production requirements.
Serna Makina develops long-cut pasta lines as integrated systems in which mechanical equipment, process technology and automation operate in coordination.
From raw-material feeding and extrusion to spreading, pre-drying, main drying, cooling, resting and cutting, all stages are engineered to support controlled product flow and process continuity.
Lines can be configured for different production scenarios according to target capacity, long-pasta varieties and plant requirements. Integrated automation supports controlled process parameters, reduced manual intervention and continuous production monitoring.
